About St. Paul Today

The St. Paul congregation is celebrating its second century of service to God and the community. St. Paul is a member church of the SELC District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). We are an evangelical (Gospel-centered) church, rooted in the Scriptures and dedicated to the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ

Welcome

We, as members, gather to receive God's gifts of Word and Sacrament with one another at Godís house here at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Through God's continued blessings, we offer opportunities to grow in our faith. We grow in faith when we receive Godís means of grace which are His Word, Baptism, and the Lordís Supper.

Secondly, we are always striving to reach out to individuals, families, our community, and to our world in response to Godís love for us. We are called to assist each other and be ready to extend a loving hand toward others. We are especially called to be ready to witness about our faith in Christ and to share Godís message with those around us. We love because God first loved us! If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to grow with us!

Ladies Society

Our Lutheran Women's Society, which is affiliated with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League of the LCMS meets on the second Tuesday of each month, except January and during the summer. The LWS is a vital organization within St. Paul. The ladies hold fundraisers to support both St. Paul and charitable organizations. Our most popular fund raisers are our semi-annual Rummage Sales in March and October. The ladies provide support to local FISH & SHIP chapters, Lutheran Haven, Bethesda Home, and the Salvation Army to name a few.

We Believe

With the universal Christian Church, The Lutheran ChurchóMissouri Synod teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God's Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God.

Being "Lutheran," our congregation accepts and teaches Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three short phrases:

Grace alone, Scripture alone, Faith alone.
