About St. Paul TodayThe St. Paul congregation is celebrating its second century of service to God and the community. St. Paul is a member church of the SELC District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LC-MS). We are an evangelical (Gospel-centered) church, rooted in the Scriptures and dedicated to the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Click here for a calendar of special events. Christian EducationSunday Services are held at 10:30 am. Adult Bible Study meets at 9:30 am. Sunday School is held each week before services at 9:15 am for for pre-school (age 4) through 8th grade students. The emphasis is on Christian values and how those values can be translated into to their daily lives, at home, in school and in their relationships with those around them. Our Pastor leads Confirmation class for young people in 7th and 8th grades, which is provided as preparation for active church membership and participation in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sunday Services are held at 9:30 am during the summer. Sunday School and Bible Study do not meet. Church CouncilThe Church Council's primary responsibility is the business of operating our church. They sponsor the annual Spaghetti dinner each October and host a Pancake Breakfast every Palm Sunday and on fifth Sundays throughout the year, with funds raised going towards designated Mission projects. Ladies SocietyOur Lutheran Women's Society, which is affiliated with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League of the LCMS meets on the second Tuesday of each month, except January and during the summer. The LWS is a vital organization within St. Paul. The ladies hold fundraisers to support both St. Paul and charitable organizations. Our most popular fund raisers include our annual Smorgasbord Dinner on the last Saturday in April and semi-annual Rummage Sales in March and October. The ladies provide support to local FISH & SHIP chapters, Lutheran Haven, Bethesda Home, and The Lutheran Navajo School in Arizona to name a few. Youth GroupWe also have a Young People's Society for junior and senior high school students, as well as college-age youth. The YPS is affiliated with the Luther League of the SELC district of the LCMS. Along with local activities and fund raisers, they travel for workshops and conventions. |
